Most adhesive and sealant manufacturers use evaporative solvent technology where a very toxic solvent keeps the product flowing until it evaporates out (leaving voids in the product and giving off harmful gases).  Bostik commercial construction adhesives use different technologies based on moisture cure chemistry.  This means relatively inert, highly engineered materials cure by absorbing water from the atmosphere. So strong it has a Miami Dade NOA.
